Wasnt quite the walk we intended this morning, But running a little late we settled on parking at Dunmail Raise and heading up Raise Beck. The forecast had it spot on today for Fog at Grasmere and the south of the park. Here looking south and Helm Crag to the right

Its not long before your out of the gill and heading towards Grisedale Tarn....Fairfield the fell in view

This was our view on the climb to Dollywagon. The fells in the distance Bowfell and the Scafells. Interestingly the fog is now creeping north!

Now the mists really are forming...Helm Crag is the fell just off centre left with couple of pimples on it.

Was such a nice day and with time on our side we decided to head to Helvelyn

wow the fog had really formed now and raised in height...this was the view as we headed over Willie Wife Moor...great name!
seemed such a shame to leave the sunshine and head down
Well Alison continued down while i headed back up a little in search of Broken Spectres...and got a little one
Fudge could see it too and i wondered if he thought it was Alison coming up too :)...Great day and a great walk.
Finished off with a first visit to the White Horse pub at Scales :)
